Being more sustainable
and helping those who
need it
Taking care of our planet’s needs, being more sustainable, helping those that need it the most, supporting socio-cultural development, educating good values. These are some of the actions and promises you’ll find many companies making.
At WALMA Dynamic Group, we understand these promises. They form a central part of our business strategy and company philosophy, where we reaffirm our commitment to give back to society.
That’s why part of the Walma team, through its programmed internal volunteering, support various initiatives such as:

MARÍA VILLOTA LEGACY
Created with the aim of spreading the values of the young Spanish driver and continuing her solidarity work with sick and disadvantaged groups. Spreading her values of self-improvement, perseverance and optimism, supporting charity work with the memory of her eternal smile. Different activities are carried out within the LEGACY, among which the following stand out:

PRIMERA ESTRELLA (FIRST STAR) Programme:
ANA CAROLINA DIEZ MAHOU FOUNDATION
The programme is also present in the Socio-Sport football and basketball school, together with the Real Madrid Foundation, and at the canoeing school in Aranjuez. Since the beginning of this programme, more than 20,000 treatments have been financed for 200 children.
The “Primera Estrella” programme helps these children, with a very short life expectancy and no cure, get the complete medical attention they need, with physiotherapy sessions in rooms, in water, music therapy, dog therapy, equine therapy, hippotherapy, home physiotherapy, psychological help, occupational therapy, speech therapy and SAAC.

MARIA DE VILLOTA Homes
CARITAS PARROQUIA SAN ROMAN NONATO
The needs of the centenary Parroquia San Ramón Nonto in Puente de Vallecas and the desire to help of the “Maria de Villota Legacy” came together to set up the “Maria de Villota Residence”, which would eventually become the “Maria de Villora Home”.
Its aim is to become a home that provides shelter, peace, accommodation and maintenance for mothers with or without babies, in extreme difficulty. This initiative is complemented by workshops and activities that favour their integration, training and the search for solutions for the future of these mothers and their children.
The “María de Villota Home” and the “San José Social Dining”, managed by Cáritas Parroquial de “San Ramón Nonato” in Madrid, were inaugurated at the beginning of 2017.
The parish priest D. José Manuel Horcajo, Sister Sara and the large team of volunteers are the soul of this great social work, and, since 2017, the “María de Villota Home” has become.

Cycle of lectures “LIFE LESSONS”
FUNDACION DEPORTE JOVEN (YOUNG SPORTS FOUNDATION)
The aim of the lectures is to give us a moment of reflection, and even to offer a different way of facing our day to day life. During the lectures, a journey through the values that were Maria’s DNA throughout her personal and professional life is carried out.
In support of the words of the former F1 driver and María’s father, Alfonso Jiménez, co-founder of the María de Vollota Legacy and former director of the Fundación Deporte Joven, different audiovisual content is projected, through which María talks about her way of acting to achieve her goals, showing the enthusiasm and optimism with which she faced new and exciting challenges, after the dreams she had always fought for were cut short.
More than a hundred lectures held to date also contribute to raising funds to meet the needs of the María de Villota Legacy projects, especially the “Primera Estrella” programme. At the same time, they contribute to the “Fórmula 1 Kilo” (1 Kilo Formula)action through the contribution, by the attendees, of food that is then distributed among disadvantaged people.
SAN SILVESTRE del JARAMA “MARIA DE VILLOTA”
JARAMA RACE
The “Jarama Maria de Villota Race” takes place on the legendary Jarama Circuit on the morning of the 24th of December, in full solidarity and for families.
This race welcomes more than 2,000 participants every year. The RACE and the Runners’ Club organise this race with a marked family and solidarity character in support of the “Primera Estrella” programme, the distribution of food at the Cottolengo del Padre Alegre and the “Maria de Vollota Homes” – “San José Dining”.

Solidarity Race “MARIA DE VILLOTA MILE”
SANTANDER CITY
Once a year, this solidarity race is organised by the Maria de Villota Legacy with the Ana Carolina Diez Mahou Foundation in collaboration with the Peña de Fondo Cantabria, the Santander City Council Sports Department, and the Municipal Sports Institute.
The María de Villota Mile was born in 2014 promoted by the Santander City Council and the Fundación Deporte Joven (Youth Sport) of the Higher Sports Council.
The funds raised from registrations and merchandising sales will go entirely to the “First Star” programme. The litres of milk collected through the “Fórmula 1Litro” (1 Litre Formula) programme will be donated to underprivileged people through “Hijas de la Caridad Economic Kitchen of Santander” in Santander.
The involvement and support provided by sponsors and the Santander City Council make the event possible.

A story, a treatment “EL REGALO DE MARY” (MARIA’S GIFT)
FUNDACIÓN DEPORTE JOVEN AND ANA CAROLINA TEN MAHOU
Written by her older sister and illustrated by Dibujario, “El regalo de María” has a triple objective: to raise funds for the treatment programme “Primera Estrella”, to promote the values of sport, and to tell children about who María de Villota was.
